It’s okay to win your own CON.

The Southern Ontario Open was this past weekend and it was a ton of fun! JVM won iron gauntlet and Tim Banky, co-founder of the convention, won Masters. I played both events and had a great time, it was a well organised and run event and is starting to draw more “international celebrities”. If you didn’t go this year you should totally make a point of going next year, it’s a quality con, up there with Captain Con, Grots Con etc and well worth the time. SOO Double Champion Bubba Dalton

He has won many local tournaments, was on this years OTC winning team, qualified for masters at CaptainCon 2014, 2015, 2016, Templecon 2015, Southern Ontario Open 2015, 2016 and just recently rocked SOO winning both IG and Masters in the same weekend. Last year he was a member of Team UN at WTC (going undefeated) and joins Team Canada Goose for this coming year.  Bubba is an extremely strong warmachine player and a jovial gentleman to hang out with.

Qualified for Masters at:
On Team Canada – Goose

Southern Ontario Open Masters Party Foul Bat Rep

So the second annual Southern Ontario Open (now referred to as SOO) has just concluded.  It was an epic weekend.  The first SOO was  a Masters that brought in 89 players.  This year Tim and Matt have expanded.  It started with Iron Gauntlet on the Friday.  Masters on the Saturday cutting to top 8 and the finals for both on the Sunday.  They also had Speed Machine and Spell Draft.  With Iron Arena running 24 hours a day!

88 guys jammed into a small room for Masters briefing.
The pairings!

I unfortunately couldn’t make it to the IG.  I had a 3 year old that was home sick on the Friday.  DOH!  Greg made the trip out maybe he will grace us with a write up!

My day at Masters started with a match up vs SKORNE!  I was temped to drop Body and Soul, but its still so new to me I figured I’d be safer with Goreshade 3.  It didn’t look like either list had much magical attacks.  This would be happy days for Blackbane!
